Your Responsibility

The person interested in receiving a computer, has several important responsibilities. Because learning the computer is not a simple task, we ask commitment from the potential recipient. Specifically, we ask for patience and perseverance. The benefits of using the computer are many and require the investment of time.

To express your interest in receiving a computer (select one of the following):

A representative from TCVC will call the potential recipient to talk about the technology requirements and learning process.

Please note that you will need to subscribe to an Internet Service Provider (ISP) for access to the Internet and Email Services. ISPs charge monthly fees for their services and the services/fees vary widely. Each person will need to independently select the ISP of choice based on personal needs and preferences.

Finally, we ask each recipient of a computer to provide a $100 partnership gift to The Texas Center for Visually Challenged (TCVC). Many have asked why we charge for a "free" computer. We believe it is important to invest in your personal future. We are here to support those who commit.

Delivery of computers is estimated to be from 2 to 4 weeks following receipt of the partnership gift. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship computers to international locations at this time.
