Opening Worlds - One Computer at a Time

Computer Refurbishing Center

In February of 2002, the Texas Center of the Visually Challenged (TCVC) had a backlog of 90 orders. Bob Langford, the founder and then President of the TCVC contacted the North Texas PC Users Group for help. A partnership began and has subsequently flourished.

The Place

The King of Glory Lutheran Church provides TCVC with about 1,000 square feet in the basement of their facility. The work space has been divided into: a receiving area, work stations, testing sectors, rack storage, and packaging/mailing services.
