Mission

The mission of the Computers for the Blind (CFTB) is to open the world of information technology to the blind and partially sighted by providing computer equipment, software and training. We are in the business of providing opportunities to learn and grow. We are committed partners with those we serve.

We also provide a circulating library of descriptive movie videos. If you have questions about resources available to the visually challenged, let us know. We can and often do provide referrals.

Vision & Values

It is the hope of our organization that each visually challenged person may experience the information age in a positive and productive manner. Specifically we want to foster:

• The independent ability to conduct the activities of daily living such as personal reading, management of finances, and maintenance of household records.

• Personal and private communications with friends, family, health care professionals and business associates.

• A virtual learning environment where information resources are just a finger-tip away. Informed + Involved = Prepared.

• Improved employment opportunities through the development of knowledge, skills, and marketable abilities.
